Retrofit Systems

With low operating temperatures wet underfloor heating is not only the most discreet way of heating a room but also the most efficient, creating a comfortable environment with even heat distribution across the whole floor.

We specialise in the installation of Nu-Heat LoPro®Max. A bespoke retro-fit or overlay underfloor heating system.

Consisting of a flexible castellated panel, high output heating pipes and fibre reinforced levelling compound - the systems low profile build up means it can be installed over new and crucially over existing floors.

The minimal 22mm height build up makes LoPro®Max the ideal solution for linking new extensions to existing areas of your property with minimal disruption.

With one of the highest heat outputs available and outstanding response times LoPro®Max is an important consideration during renovations.

What are the benefits of underfloor heating?

  • Low running costs
  • Ideal for heat pumps
  • Even heat distribution
  • Comfortable environment
  • Discrete and low maintenance
  • Space saving - no more bulky radiators
  • Added value - the heating choice for home buyers
  • Health - beneficial for reducing dust mites and other particles

What Floor Covering Works Best With Underfloor Heating?

As a general rule hard finishes such as tile and stone will produce the highest heat output when installed over underfloor heating however solid timber flooring and even carpet will also give great results with careful planning.
A designed system from Nu-Heat will consider heat loss calculations to verify the suitability of the chosen floor finishes and ensure heat outputs will meet your expectations

Does Underfloor Heating Work Well With Heat Pumps?

Yes! Underfloor heating is an energy-efficient heating system that distributes heat more evenly at lower temperatures than traditional radiators, leading to potential energy savings and lower running costs. As well as working perfectly with traditional gas boilers, underfloor heatings efficiency is highest when paired with a heat pump and when a property is well insulated, making it a sustainable and comfortable choice for heating a room

Can I Have Underfloor Heating And Radiators?

Yes! You can have both underfloor heating and radiators. A Hybrid System offers both comfort and efficiency. Allowing the flexibility to use low-temperature underfloor heating for continuous warmth, radiators where you want them as well as heated towel rails for drying towels in bathrooms. A proper design and installation with independent zones and controls are crucial for this setup to function effectively and efficiently

03

Pressure Test

Once the heating tube is installed a heating engineer can install the manifold, connect to your existing heating pipework and pressurise the system

04

Screeding

Nu-Heats QuickSet Self Levelling Compound has been specially developed to provide the perfect combination of structural strength and surface finish. Installed via mixer pump to provide a perfect sub floor for your chosen flooring
